Back to bugles

I thought about this and decided to give it a whirl!!!

Eight bugles in this pattern instead of six. It actually works with the same stitch count which I was wondering about. So, I wonder what would happen with 7 or 9 or even 10? Well - I'm not about to find out as I'm doing other things now - probably another Rachel?!?!?

I wonder if 10 would be a bit crowded, but it certainly looks good at 8.

OK, Jane, this could be the end of our friendship!!!!!! You made this comment JUST as I was closing the doors on my tatting cupboard having spent time tidying it up before my trip. Now I've untidied it again as you've got me thinking!!!! I've found some much longer bugle beads in my stash so will try 10 of those with the same stitch count. Keep your fingers crossed that it'll work!!! I've no idea but I THINK it just may!!!

I don't know if it's the beads, the count, or the thread color, but I think this one is my favorite so far!

It's kind of fun to 'go along for the ride' as you drive yourself crazy with these experiments! This 8-beaded motif is perfectly done and is very attractive. So it will be interesting to see if it works with 10 beads!
